Besides %26quot;tune-ups%26quot; and routine maintenance ... i.e., replacing spark plugs, worn wires, serpentine belt, oil changes every 3000-4000 miles, etc., etc., when needed. You don't need to pray. Just keep changing the oil and keep up the maintenance. You may want to power flush the cooling system as well as powerbleed/flush the brakes. Changing the trans fluid as indicated in the manual is also a great idea.
